MASTERS CUP

For most disc golfers, the mere mention of DeLaveaga conjures images of majestic trees, brutal roll-aways, and that iconic view from “Top of the World”.  And for most of its history, DeLaveaga has been synonymous with one legendary tournament: the Masters Cup. Since 1986, The Masters Cup has etched its name into the history books of professional disc golf, becoming an important win for the biggest names in the sports history. Climo, Shultz, Stokely, Mcbeth, Jenkins, Korver, Pierce, Allen, and Wysocki have all hoisted the Masters Cup trophy in victory. Many other regional players have had some of their brightest and most memorable moments at the Masters Cup as well. Now situated as an A Tier & Q-Series event for the DGPT, the Masters Cup has always played an important role in the global professional scene, at times holding a spot on the National Tour or similar honors from the PDGA. DeLa (everyone really just calls it DeLa) remains a bucket-list course for disc golfers worldwide and stands as the undisputed jewel of the NorCal disc golf scene. DGA has been proud to call Dela the home course for decades, and has been the presenting sponsor of the Masters Cup dozens of times over the years, including this year.

May 9-11th many of the Pro Tours best players will be taking a diversion from the regular Elite series schedule to play this historic course and battle for the title, including defending champions Ezra Robinson and Ohn Scoggins. DGA’s own Andrew Marwede, Catrina Allen, Cole Redalen, Andrew Miranda, Shasta Criss, Eliezra Midtlyng, and Ezra Hapner are all competing in the open divisions, and many other team members will play in protected divisions the 16th-18th.

Keep an eye out for an exclusive drop from DGA at this year’s Masters Cup!
