    Not being a disc golfer I do not know much. But when ordering from a disc golf website you expect to get a disc that is for disc golfers. We saw the news story on the memorial disc that had the ashes in it so I ordered it as a gift for disc golf boyfriend. What I received is a normal frisbee. He has not opened it yet and there is a chance I will have to return it because he is a disc golfer.

Understandably, someone not familiar with disc golf or disc sports history could be confused with what a Freestyle disc is or what an Ultrastar disc is. Frisbee is a trademark brand name and the trademark is the reason we don’t call the “Lines of Headrick Memorial Freestyle Disc” a Frisbee.     My only complaint would be the basket parts are shipped separate from the pole and were delivered on different days so sitting there looking at a basket and chains for a day without the pole sucked. Fix that and your golden! Basket is sweet now that it’s complete!

    Website is good, delivery is a JOKE. I drop almost $450 on a basket. They wait FOUR DAYS to even create the label (when it should’ve been at my house by then by any other company’s standards). Then they ship out the basket the day after that, and the pole the day after that. The basket portion arrives 12 DAYS after purchase, today is day 13 waiting for the pole and ETA isnt for another 4 days from now. When something is shown to be in stock and you have to wait almost a week to get it out the door and shipping two pieces on two different days totalling over 2 weeks of wait time…. time to reevaluate your priorites on customet satisfaction. If i ever buy another basket, it will be pre-owned. I will not drop this much money for this kind of service again.

      Sorry, you had a frustrating experience, and thank you for your feedback and patience.

      We do our best to ship out orders as fast as possible and we process all orders we receive before 11 a.m. Your order was received Friday afternoon, processed on Monday and shipped out on Tuesday 5/19 as two separate packages, the basket, and the pole. After packages leave the DGA warehouse they are in the hands of the shipping company.

      Shipping from California to Illinois is normally 4 – 5 business days.
      UPS states on their web site “Scheduled business days and delivery schedules are revised occasionally due to changes in distribution and volume, especially during holiday periods.”

      Unfortunately due to Covid-19, UPS, and all shippers, are experiencing extreme challenges with very high volumes and staffing issues. Your order had the extra hurdle of having the delivery window fall around the Memorial Day weekend.

      While the package that arrived on 05/07 was delivered on time, the second package looks like it fell victim to the challenges UPS is experiencing.

      Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time basket poles have taken longer to arrive at their destination. Whether this is due to poles being easy to misplace or overlooked on the pick-up and/or delivery trucks we are not sure. Unfortunately for all involved and with the added stress of Covid-19 on the shipping companies, these delays are more common.

      We are sorry your experience was frustrating and the order took longer than expected for delivery. Thank you for your feedback and patience.

    DGA has great options on its website that you might not be able to find on some online retailers. If you live in the southeast there aren’t many retailers of DGA discs but it is totally worth pulling the trigger on a few of the molds if you haven’t tried their line up yet.     I ordered a Mach X basket Which was shipped in a box & the pole separate but supposed to be delivered together. FedEX delivered one box (basket) and for 8 days FedEX has lost the 2nd one (pole)which is only the steel pole. FedEx has no idea when they can or will deliver the other box w/ the steel pole. On a side note FedEx got the steel pole back to the DGA before I got my pole. LOL
    So I told the customer service person @ the DGA my dilemma and he & she were very helpful. Cesar & his replacement when he was on vacation got right on it & overnighted the pole to me & they also sent me a beautiful care package for all my troubles.
    I was given an awesome towel that’s super absorbent & a connector that I can put on my bag & my towel can be on a 45” rewind line. I also scored some nice stickers and best of all I was gifted a Disc Golf Pro Tour Putter that by chance is slightly similar to the 10x KC Pro Short Range Drivers that I have been putting with since 2003. A bit more sticky feeling but a good putter.

      Both FedEx and UPS are working on their ends to make sure this doesn’t happen any more, however poles are still getting delayed and misplaced by both shipping companies.

    I logged into my DGA account and my order showed “completed”. It’s not “complete” until I receive my order. I was upset that I never received a notice that my order was shipped, a tracking number, or an expected delivery date. Because I live in CA it did get here in a timely manner though.

      Thank you for your feedback and we’re glad you received your purchase quickly.

      The way our e-commerce system is set up is that an Order is marked complete when we ship that product out from the DGA warehouse. That is what is reflected in the user account once logged in.

      Once the order is completed and shipped out, an email is sent to the customer with shipping and tracking information as well. We use USPS, UPS and FedEx for shipping, which is separate from our e-commerce store, so tracking information isn’t available in the users account on discgolf.com unless specifically requested.

      Since our order confirmation and tracking information emails are automated and originate through the USPS, UPS and FedEx software those emails were most likely filtered out as spam and found in your junk mail folder in your email program.

      Sorry for any inconvenience and we hope you enjoy your discs.

    It wasn’t until after I had placed the order that my order was identified as “back ordered.” That should happen before I place my order, not after. Then, I called DGA and spoke with Matt Patterson. I asked when I could expect my disc golf basket to be in stock. I was told late June. I was buying it for my nephew for his birthday in early June, so late June didn’t work for me. I told Matt I wanted to cancel my order. He said “No problem.” However, my order was never cancelled. The good news is that it turned out that the item WAS in stock. It was shipped and since arrived. But if the DGA website and customer service had provided accurate information, MUCH of my stress about ordering my disc golf basket through you could have been averted.

      The Mach Shifts are still out of stock however our Office Manager had a Mach Shift previously on hold and sent it off to you when seeing your order come through before Matt had a chance to speak with her.

      FedEx was initially expected to deliver your package Wednesday 12/22/2021 however your discs were delayed and the updated delivery date is today Monday 1/3/2022 by end of the day. It looks like the holiday issues and weather delays were the culprit.

    Overall good experience. I got great discs at an excellent price with a misprint mystery box. My only issue is that a tracking number for the shipment was not provided therefore I did not know when items were delivered to a P.O. box.

    Delivery – great, Website – easy to navigate. I wish we could select color of the disc. I live in Louisiana, y’all sent me a green disc. This thing is going to get lost within a month. We have so much underbrush on our courses this disc is basically invisible even in the fairway. I understand it’s hard to give color selection with availability but maybe y’all can take location into account when shipping. Green would be the last color I’d pick.

      Sorry to hear you were disappointed that the Tremor you received wasn’t the actual disc pictured on the website. We have thousands of discs in inventory and are unable to take pictures and sell each disc individually. Disc images are for color reference only and actual disc colors and stamp foils vary. We do our best to provide disc colors and stamp colors if you request them when purchasing. In the future please include specific color or foil requests in the notes section of your order and we will do our best to match your request.

      If your Tremor is unused we will be happy to replace the disc with one that more closely matches what you are looking for. If this is something you would like to pursue please contact Sylva at [email protected], or by phone at 831-722-6037.

      We also encourage our customers to check with their local disc golf retailers where they can see and hold our discs firsthand and pick the one they want.
