DGA Steady BL Putt & Approach Specs & Info

The DGA Steady BL putt and approach disc pays homage to the father of disc golf and DGA’s founder Ed Headrick who got his nickname from his steady hand and putting prowess. The Steady BL (beadless) has many of the same flight characteristics of the original Steady with the addition of a smooth beadless bottom edge. At low speeds, the Steady BL putter has a hyzer finish and with added speed, the putter provides a steady straight flight path. This putter feels great in the hand and will be a perfect fit for those looking for that smooth feel and clean release that this beadless putter offers.

  • Consistent and accurate flight
  • Feels great in the hand
  • Flies straight

The lack of bead means it comes out of my hand smoother for putts, but still flies like a Steady. Just a tad less stable.

(The "Steady") A great throwing putter. I use mine for 200' and in approaches or drives. Flies true for whatever line you use. Will be a little overstable when new.

The Steady BL (Beadless Steady) is a slightly overstable putter. For driving, you will like the glide and distance you get for a putter. For putting, you will like the point and shoot accuracy, and the great feel in the hand.

I really loved the Steady BL! This disc feels clean in the hand and has a pretty thin feel to it. Not as thin as your colt, but still doesn't feel too tall- and that's probably from the lack of bead.

I drove with it, and it flies so straight! It turns over a little bit, but has enough fade to pull it back to the straight/stable line. You have to drive with a bit of a touch shot, but it was perfect for hitting narrow short gaps.

For putting, it flies decently straight, with a bit of fade at the end on longer putts. On close putts I just put it straight into the chains and it didn't have time to fade. The Glide was pretty decent as well- not super super crazy, but enough to get to the chains. I made quite a few longer putts with it to by just hanging them high right and letting fade take over into the basket.

In summary, this is a great new putter from DGA, it's the perfect size for the hand, and it flies straight with enough fade to remain reliable for putting and driving alike!
