The main mission or purpose of the Great Lakes Disc Golf Club is the promotion and the betterment of the great sport of Disc Golf. It is our intent to sponsor, promote and spread the word about our sport and improve the Disc Golf scene in the greater Milwaukee and Wisconsin area. Of the many ways that it is possible to accomplish this tremendous task, the GLDGC works through local events like major, annual, nationally and internationally recognized local tournaments, Disc Golf Clinics held during the summer season specifically geared toward young people, and charity events such as events that sponsor local food banks, and specially sponsored events which donate dollars to organizations like MDA and the MAACC FUND.

The GLDGC is also working to expand the availability of courses in the Milwaukee and South East Wisconsin area by meeting with many local municipal officials and explaining to them the many advantages of having Disc Golf Courses in their local parks and public lands.
